Firing SQL Server 2000 DTS Packages and Database Backups from ASP?

Asked by Danimal in Active Server Pages (ASP)

I assume there must be a simple way, not requiring components I don't have
already.  Thinking I might have to start actually doing TSQL in SQL Server,
then firing that.  TSQL is not my forte.

Is there a way to fire SQL Server 2000 DTS Packages and Database Backups from ASP?

If you look at the screenshot in the following link, in the lower right corner,
you can see the two links I don't know how to make work on the SQL Server
end.  They are labeled as (notes in parentheses added to EE, not shown on
screenshot):

.  Backup database  (using SQL Server Database Backup)
.  Load Data from AS-400 (execute existing DTS package)

I am sorry if I should have posted this in the SQL Server area, but I figured I
had to pick one or the other, so I picked here, in the web page area to ask
this question.
