The Solution Rating System

With so many solutions, how can you tell which solutions are most likely to help you and which ones are not? To provide you with a tool to use, we rate our solutions based on various elements that most accurately determine if a solution is a quality solution. To explain what factors affect the solution rating, here are the elements we take into consideration when formulating our solution rating.

  • The Grade of the Solution
  • The Zone Rank of the Expert Providing the Solution
  • The Number of Author and Expert Comments
  • The Number of Experts Contributing
  • The Feedback of the Community

Your Input Matters
Because of the way the system is set up, the most important variable in this equation is you. As a member of Experts Exchange, you are able to cast your vote on the quality of the solutions in regard to how complete, accurate, helpful and easy to understand each solution is. When you provide your feedback, each rating is adjusted accordingly. So, if you see a solution that has a poor rating that you think is a good solution, let us know by rating it. As you do, the rating will be adjusted and will become more accurate for other members of our site.

If you have any suggestions that you would like to make for our rating system, please ask a question in the Suggestions Zone of Community Support.

Thank you!

Paste part of picture(of clip board) to ASP page and the upload it to database.

Asked by vsshah in Active Server Pages (ASP)

Hello Everyone,

I have one question for you.

I have been working on ASP 3.0.

I am able to upload .jpg or any file to database(SQL Server 2000) if chosen from browser . And able to display also Uploaded .jpg file back to the page again.

User needs something extra. User says that, we want to open .asp page, and we will open PAINTBrush application and open .JPG file there. We will select particular portion of open picture in PAINTBrush(Clipboard Copy), then (Clipboard) Paste it in WebPage. then, you have to upload that part(of picture) to database, and display back, when required.

Is it possible??

I am able to do following (I used www.stardeveloper.com Faisal Khan ' s code to do this).
----------------------------------
1. Open file Browser.

2. Once File Browser is open, then Select File and Hit OK. I am able to Upload that Picture in to Database.

3. I am able to display that Picture back to the other page also, by reading it from Database.

What I am missing is following.
-------------------------------------------
1. If I able to copy DRAGged content to ASP Page and
2. Save it to some temporary file name.

If above 2 steps are done, I can continue UPLOAD that file to Database.

Is it possible to do such thing??? can <iframe> play any role ?

www.aspupload.com has 2 Active X controls. ASPUpload(server side) and ASPXUpload(client side).
Can ASPXUpload be useful ????
