How to return the ID from a new inserted record in ASP ?

Hi all ,

My case is :
IT's need to generate a order ID for every order , I plan to do in this way ,insert a new blank record and received the new order ID .

But my worry is :
When there has more than two session insert a new blank record at a same time, it is probably for the session to get their order IDs in wrong .

My question is :
How can I use ASP the get the new record ID ? Some thing like the store procedure in SQL server that can insert record and return ID at a same time
