By "methods saved into a file" you mean an include file of regular functions, not contained in a class?
Main Topics
Browse All TopicsIn object oriented VBScript, can you have static methods on a class? Meaning, I want to have a method I can call without instantiating the class itself.
In PHP, it would be:
$returnValue = Class::Method($argument)
I haven't found any reference to static methods, but I haven't found anything that says I can't do it either. So, do static methods exist in VBScript or not?

No. You have to initiate the Class.
in VB you can have it in a Moudle and call it without instantiating.
in asp VBScript you can have methods saved into a file and include it on the top of your page to avoid instantiating.
