Request.Querystring and type mismatch problem

It seems there is someone sending requests to a .asp file of ours with url's in the querystring like "http://kamini.biz/sl". Possibly some hacker.

The code is spitting out a "Type mismatch" error when it encounters a line like:

If Request.QueryString("B") Then

(from a request like filename.asp?B=http://kamini.biz/sl)

Is there a way to adjust the code to keep these errors from being triggered (the errors cause e-mails be sent to me)?

Thank you for your responses.

"B" can take many different values and there are about 10 querystring parameters also being checked.

Is it the "." that's being sent that is causing the problem?

If so, could the function be changed to just check for the offending character?

What data type, exactly, are you expecting? You need to check the values at the top of the script to ensure you are receiving what you expect to receive.

I think it's an integer in most (maybe all) cases.

A quick and dirty failsafe line for the top of your code woukd be:

If Not IsNumeric(Request.Querystring("b")) Then Response.End
