iframe dont work at all, is there another way to do this without using iframe?

Execute url from asp page (without showing it)
Is it possible to execute a url when a user visits (or leaves) a webpage. I have tried using iframe (height/width 0px, src=url) but it dont work correct. Mabye a javascript or something can work?
Example:
When a user visit a webpage (www.mypage.com) another webpage (www.anotherpage.com?ref=1
I use asp 3.0.
