The Solution Rating System

With so many solutions, how can you tell which solutions are most likely to help you and which ones are not? To provide you with a tool to use, we rate our solutions based on various elements that most accurately determine if a solution is a quality solution. To explain what factors affect the solution rating, here are the elements we take into consideration when formulating our solution rating.

  • The Grade of the Solution
  • The Zone Rank of the Expert Providing the Solution
  • The Number of Author and Expert Comments
  • The Number of Experts Contributing
  • The Feedback of the Community

Your Input Matters
Because of the way the system is set up, the most important variable in this equation is you. As a member of Experts Exchange, you are able to cast your vote on the quality of the solutions in regard to how complete, accurate, helpful and easy to understand each solution is. When you provide your feedback, each rating is adjusted accordingly. So, if you see a solution that has a poor rating that you think is a good solution, let us know by rating it. As you do, the rating will be adjusted and will become more accurate for other members of our site.

If you have any suggestions that you would like to make for our rating system, please ask a question in the Suggestions Zone of Community Support.

Thank you!

Trying to figure out where to configure the email adress that a form submittal sends to.

Asked by JReacher in Active Server Pages (ASP), Microsoft Access Database, Microsoft IIS Web Server

Hi guys,

I'm a network admin as a printing and printing supply company who has also been tasked with maintaining their horrible, slow, badly put together websites (Lucky Me). Anyways all of that aside I have a question about a form that people fill out that then sends an email to one of our sales reps. If you go to www.resourceimaging.com and click "Request a catalog" on the right you fil out a form for a catalog to be mailed to you which then sends an email with your information to one of our sales reps who will mail the catalog out. My problem is they want the email address that the request is sent to changed and for the life of me I cannot figure out where to change this address. Most of out .asp pages call to .mdb databases for live data but I can't seem to figure this one out and was hoping one of you could take a look at the source and help me figure out where to look for this setting.

Also on a side note if you click on any of the tabs at the top "Supplies, Equipment, ect..." there are horrible lag times in waiting for the page to load, could someone please give me some suggestions on speeding up the site or why I could be experiencing such long wait times? We have another web page on this server "www.wcrepro.com" and we don't experience any of these speed issues so it isnt a bandwidth / latency problem. Any suggestions would be GREATLY appreicated guys! Thanks in advance!Start Free Trial
