The Solution Rating System

With so many solutions, how can you tell which solutions are most likely to help you and which ones are not? how to create a navigation that shows only 10 page links at a time from a search result?

Hi I'm trying to display my search results that only shows 8 records per page and a navigation that shows only 10 pages at a time... Just like how google displays 1st 10 pages it shows 1 2 3..10 and then on the 11th page, it shows [Previous] 11, 12, 13... 20 [Next]

I've written a code with help of a few websites and I got it to display 8 records per page but it did not manage to get the navigation to work properly. Please see code below.
