I was thinking that might be the case as well, but that did not work.
I'll provide the code to the original file if that might help:
I am trying to add an ad script to my website. I had a previous version and it was very easy to install and get to work. However this time is very difficult.
I was able to get through part of the set-up the first time, but then I was not able to sign in (I would get an error re: invalid username / password). I copied the MS Access db and opened that one to confirm the information.
Since I had made a few changes, I decided to start fresh and place the files in the folders that they were in when unzipped (I did have the MSAccess db in a folder off from the Internet). So this time, I just uploaded the DB into the original folder and re-started.
I would get some new errors this time - i.e. on line 17, it told me the @ sign was invalid. Then it said one of the periods was incorrect in the Mail_RemoteHost. It also required a SMTPUsername and SMTPPassword (I just entered something in there).
Now this code is supposed to write the correct connection string as well - it gave me:
"DBQ=c:\clients\C10489\mym
But when I said to save connection string - this error came up:
Database connection error
Format of the initialization string does not conform to the OLE DB specification.
Any ideas on what I can change / fix?

Yes it is an ASP file - the complete ASP file. The ASP file is called in a couple of pages one being aspbanner/save_settings.as
On about line 20, there is data/config/aspbanner_unli
As far as what it does, I am exactly sure, that why I came here, to hopefully get a little advice.

If you need to - the passwords / usernames are not valid.

it sounds like Parent Paths might not be enabled on your server. Refer to:

It looks to me like most of the values on what you posted should be strings, in which case you need to enclose them in double quotes:
