yea, checked that already and that is setup with the external DNS name.

Browse All TopicsWe have Exchange 2007 and is setup with outlook anywhere and autodiscover. Users are setup with RPC over HTTPS. For some reason the RPC proxy server setting will change on the users. It will sometimes switch from the external DNS name to the internal DNS name. It seems to be due to the autodiscover, but not sure which setting it is.

when users connect from LAN it will be a TCP connection and when they connect from remote location it will automatically fall in to HTTPS connection.
just check if they can connect from out side the network
If yes no other changes needs to be made.
You wouldnt want to connect using HTTPS while in the office LAN .TCP is mch faster then HTTPS.
If still you wanna connect using HTTPS in you lan
open outlook > tools > account > click the account > change > more settings > connection >Exchange proxy settings >check the box on fast Networks >apply >ok
Close and reopen outlook and check the connection status.

RPC proxy server will be the name or URL that is mentioned in Exchange Management Console for Outlook Anywhere. You can check it in EMC by expanding Server Confgiuration and then selecting 'Client Access'.
Right Click on the server name that populates on the right side and go to the properties. Move to the 'Outlook Anywhere' Tab and check the URL mentioned over there.
The autodiscover will provide this URL to the Outlook Clients. There can be only 1 URL set per CAS server. So unless you have another CAS server with Outlook Anywhere enabled you shouldn't have any conflicts.
