can I set null as no and not null as yes in gridview

I have a datagrid that display some contact data, such as name, title, email address, etc. Instead  of showing the email address, I'd like to show "yes" if there is an email address for the contact and "no" if there isn't. Could I do that with the dataformatstring?

you can simply do it via your SQL statement, if you wish.

or try look for the RowDataBound event of GridView.

thanks, I'll check out the link this weekend.
BTW, I did try in the SQL, but, had problems. My datasource is Access and I tried to use IIF, but, kept getting errors. Should IIF work?
something like
IIF(isnull([field]),"yes", "no") as Email

it works, try like:

...

SQLstr = "Select field1, field2,  IIF(isnull([field]),'yes', 'no') as Email from yourtable where condition = 1 "
