no what I was doing and i did this once already for another calculator is just doing all the math right in javascript and displaying it in boxes on the web form. and I just dont know how to do this particular function.

Java or VB script to perform basicly a VLOOKUP.
In an excel sheet I have a formula
=VLOOKUP(F4,T7:V157,IF(F5=
and I am now going to replace the spreadsheet with a web page and need to know can this function be done with javascript or vb script?

It's possible, but you need to write your own customized function.
or if your excel is converted into a database, you can do it directly via a SQL statement with "where" clause.
