no what I was doing and i did this once already for another calculator is just doing all the math right in javascript and displaying it in boxes on the web form. and I just dont know how to do this particular function.

It's possible, but you need to write your own customized function.
or if your excel is converted into a database, you can do it directly via a SQL statement with "where" clause.
