Browse All TopicsI have a aspx webpage for eg 'www.mysite.co.uk' with a login form in C#. When the the user types the username and password it looks at an access database and pulls back which client has logged in if the username and password entered are correct and then re-directs them to their specific client page eg Client1.aspx, Client2.aspx.
The part i'm confused with is if i type www.mysite.co.uk/client1.a
Hope what i've written is clear, i'm new to designing webpages and need to get my head areound security, etc

I would either create a cookie or some sort of session variable - check that when they first type in a page directly - if they have passed your security login check, allow them to go in to the page. If not, send them back to the log in page.
Basically, when they have logged in correctly, either update some sort of cookie or session variable that they are legit.
You could have the cookie or session variable time out after a certain number of minutes which will require the user to log in again.
