Browse All TopicsHi Experts - I have a asp script that processes orders and sends out an order confirmaiton. I recently had a problem with my application hanging while trying to execute a CDOSYS script to email my customer an order confirmation. The applicaiton hung until it just timed out.
Can someone provide me with a Classic ASP/VBScript that they use that will gracefully cause my page to time out after 10 seconds of processing time.

You could configure a custom 500 error page and within this you could see if there is a timeout and put a special message to the user:

That will cause the current ASP script to timeout after 10 seconds.
