better use javascript
<script>document.location = 'finished.asp';</script>
Main Topics
Browse All TopicsI have a script that takes a few minutes to run and during the process on the web page I want to show the status.
I figured the simple way is like below, however I apparently cannot response.flush then response.redirect without getting the "HTTP headers are already written to the client browser" error.
How can I display on the web page status updates of the scripts progress and when it's finished redirect to aonther page?
<% Response.Buffer = true %>
<HTML>
<BODY>
<%
Response.Write "Processing, PLease Wait..."
Response.Flush
For i = 1 To m_total_records
' i have code here that also does response.write and flush so user knows scripts progress
Next
response.redirect "finished.asp"
%>
</BODY>
</HTML>
If I replace response.redirect with server.transfer then the next page loads directly below all my response.write status updates and looks horrible.
Regards,
Torrey
