Browse All TopicsI have an assignment wich requires modelling a business process using BPMN in a workflow designer. I thought that "Software Projects Management" would be a good process to model. The application should also be able tu run the workflow so I need a workflow engine and I must include some BPEL elements too ( if possible ).
There are many solutions.. I found Intalio a few days ago, is it good enough ? And i found out that there is a solution from Microsoft.. Can you give me an advice on what workflow engine (and designer) should I use ? Is there any possibility to include some user interaction for the workflow run-time ? Is there any possibility to develop some additional services for the workflow engine ?

I don't think you can mix and match BPEL and BPMN elements,
Intalio is a good software which uses BPMN for modelling and generates a BPEL for execution, I kind of like that concept as Modelling goes to BPMN and Execution Goes to BPEL.
Microsoft I am not very sure, Intalio is promising and with Intalio 6 they seem to have improved many more features.
