override css table declaration

I have a table with a lot of columns and rows defined like this in css:
table.TestTable td {
background-color:#ffffff;
text-align: center;
border: 1px solid #0066FF;
padding-left: 5px;

}
I am trying to make 1 row with bold text and a light gray background this does not work:
<table class="TestTable" cellpadding="0" width="948" cellspacing="0" border="0">

<td style="text-align: left" width="192" height="22" class="font11" bgcolor="#C0C0C0"><b>Total Materials</b></td>
How can i do this ?
