Fixed position div in ie6

I need to create a fixed div in IE6 so that the div is always x pixels form the top even when scrolling, i tried the suggestions here

but they are not functioning

i have also tried a js block

which also did not work; SY was always 0

note i hae a soliution for IE7, FF SAfari and Opera, just looking for IE6.
