Browse All TopicsHi All,
This is my first post here, there have been many other solutions here that have helped me out with other problems. Thanks! However this one may not be possible to solve given the fact that I must use some deprecated methods...
I am doing contract work for a client and I only have limited access to their code. I cannot touch their table layouts/CSS I can only work with my own content that will be contained within theirs. They use cellspacing in order to render their table borders. This cannot be changed. I am inserting a table within their table and I must use cellspacing as well on mine. This creates a double-wide border. I need to figure out a method of increasing the inner table width and height by 1px while maintaining width 100%. I have tried negative margins but this only works on the top and left margin attributes. I have tried nested divs around my table with right floats and the only success I had was in firefox, but not IE (and the end result looked pretty messy).
So the end result must be that the border of the inner table 'overlaps' the border of the outer. You can wrap the inner table in whatever CSS you please. The example I gave below is a very simplified example of what I am working with on the main project just to demonstrate the issue.
This must work in IE6+ and Firefox as well!
Thanks for looking in advance!
