Limit width

Hi Guys,
I am using a three columns layout found here http://matthewjamestaylor.com/blog/perfect-3-column.htm on this site
www.itsmybusiness.ca and I am having problem resizing the side columns and making them smaller in width.
can anyone take a look at www.itsmybusiness.ca using firefox and firebug please.

It looks like your width for your .colmask DIV is set @ 100%(dynamic).  If you want a fixed width, replace it with a number like 1000px.

I could have done that but I will lose the feature about this CSS layout, I need it to match the resolution without using a client script

Can you describe what you're trying to accomplish, I am not sure I fully understand the question.

Do you want the side columns to be a fixed width, or to be dynamic and not allow them to get smaller than a certain size, dynamic not larger than a certain size, etc.

If we understand your desired functionality it will be easier to suggest solutions.

If you look at the Left and right bars you will see they are too wide, I want to limit their width and use the space to widen the Content div "Middle one"
I want the side divs to be dynamic but not larger than 10% for example

You can use max-width:10%, but that isn't supported by ie (not supported by ie7, maybe by ie8)  for ie you will need a javascript

If you look at the CSS you would know max-width will not work for the side divs, I have already tried it.
I am trying to avoid using javascript to modify the site's main design.
