DIVs automatically add some space, so you will have to use negative margins to remove the space.
For example,
margin-top: -5px;
or
margin: -5px 0 0 0;

Browse All TopicsI need some help with the code below. I am trying to create a horizontal nav with images as separators and rollovers for the items. I have this working except for the space between the DIVs when I have a line break. I have margin and padding both set to zero so I do not know where it is getting this space. I have also tried just removing the line beaks and for some reason when I do this the alignment of the DIVs changes in relation to the images. This only occurs when I remove ALL the line breaks between the items. If I remove all but one, they align correctly. Remove them all and the alignment changes. This also has me stumped, but if I can remove the space with CSS then I will be happy.
Any help is great appreciated.

Can I suggest you first add a reset css? This can sometimes fix a lot of problems.
Google reset css to find a good template and you can then customize to your needs.
