I can't seem to change this scroll bars colours?

I have tried everything to change the scroll bars on this webpage?

This is the css i am using:

I tried using it on the news div aswell but it didn't work?

How can I fix this please?

Please note that changing the scrollbar colors doesn't effect most browsers. Eg. it doesn't work in FF but it does work in IE and Konquerer (I think).

So is there anyway to make it work in FF?
Because the code I had was working in IE, just not in FF?

No, there is not a way to make it work in FF or other browsers that doesn't support the scrollbar-* properties.

the difference is u gave it to the body tag and i gave to the html. if u apply that it'll work in IE.  
So that was the solution to your problem . and i also deserve the points.. kindly reopen it and do the same..

Hi Qwerty, I have left it applied in the body tag and it was working in IE initially.  The problem was it wasn't working in FF.  That is why I didn't give you the points because I didn't use your code and the problem was not that.  Is that ok?

so hw can i get to know that u were asking it for FF. i did a workaround for ur problem and gave the solution.. which is right also.. that's y i deserve points..

Ok, I am really sorry for the confusion, but your work around wasn't neccessary.  What I had was already a solution.  The problem was identified as it not working in FF

Nowhere u hv mentioned that it is for FF. U simply stated that u were unable to change the color of the scrollbar..
So the workaround was done to gave u the solution..

I hadn't realised it was FF specific, so the points were given to the expert who pointed out the FF cannot read the scrollbars css as my code I had was working in IE, just not in FF
