I have the following code that displays blue diamond dingbats on the PC side fine, but displays as a "t" on the mac side. How do i display the blue diamond on the mac side.

You may be able to get away with 'Webdings', although to be honest, I'd recommend that you don't rely on these fonts at all. If it's not a font, which can be replaced with a universal sans or sans-serif font, then I'd convert the character in to an image and use that. I'm sorry I cannot help you further, but this would be my recommendation in terms of accessibility and cross-compatibility.
