CSS popup image (and text) on click instead that on mouseover

Hello,

I used this code in a solution I provided: http://www.dynamicdrive.com/style/csslibrary/item/css-popup-image-viewer/

but I need to change it, probably I will need some javascript, to make it open the pictures on click and not on mouseover. The mouseover effect is nice, but when you have many thumbnails the user has to dodge the pictures to avoid the popping!

You need to remove the popup image at the time of mouse over means remove span, Please check below code and let me know.

Hello and thanks!
I understand your point, but in this way I would open a new browser window, while I was thinking about keeping the CSS look that I love.
Is there a way to assign that span on click instead that on hover?

tried some tricks on the TITLE field, and it works, I can customize it that bit I need :)
