Need Code To Convert Longitude/Latitude to MGRS (Military Grid Reference System)
We need code that changes Latitude/Longitude coordinates into MGRS (Military Grid Reference System) Coordinates. It can be Java, JavaScript, CF Script, or anything ColdFusion can take in and interpret. We are building military solution that when user clciks link in article (which has grid coordinates) it opens Google Earth and takes them directly to the point on the map. Now, here is what we have:
#1 We have Google Earth servers.
#2 We have ColdFusion code that strips out everything out of XMLfile except the MGRS coordinates (the XML fiile is whats used to build the article the end user reads).
#3 We have the KML code (Google Code) that accepts the Latitude/Longitude coordinates.
#4 We have acces to military networks NIPR, SIPR, GCTF, and MCFI.
