How to insert a Custom HTML tag with FCKEditor

Hi there. Can someone point me in the right direction on how to create a new custom button that inserts a piece a code at the cursor location. I basically want to add a <more> or [more] tag to the source code when the button is clicked. I plan to use this to break the content into two sections if used.

I'm not terribly familiar with FCKEditor and it's workings so I'll throw this out there:  Are you dead set on using FCKEditor?  There's a free WYSIWYG editor called TinyMCE that is a breeze to use and has plenty of documentation to do exactly the kind of stuff you're talking  about.

note that i've only tested for the -real- FCKeditor. The new CF8 editor based on FCK is kind of flaky and it may or may not work.(several other JS things i've tried haven't)

It looks like your button is outside the FCKeditor.  I am hoping to add a new button the the editor itself.  Is that possible?

possible...sure...easy..depends

what you want to do would be classified a plugin

Found a Drupal plugin for FCK editor that does exactly what I need.  I'll give you the points for responding to me.
