I tried the -f and it still didn't work. I ran it from the command line and it didn't work. I was using the same address for the from as I was for the "to", once I changed that it worked.

Browse All TopicsHey all. I'm trying to use sendmail to send mail via a Unix command but I can't seem to change the "From" address.
I'm calling sendmail via a program but have also tried command line but nothing seems to work. The attached code snippet shows what is inside the file that is being sent through the sendmail command.
What I want to do is send an email and change the "from" field from user@server.com to simply "Specified Name" without the "@internalserver.server.co
Any ideas?

/usr/lib/sendmail -f from@abc.com .........
