Asked by DeborahSG in Web Languages/Standards, Disability Access, Extensible HTML (XHTML)
Hi,
I am creating a series of non fillable forms for our website. I don't know of a suitable substitute for a blank on a legal or official form. I don't want to simply use the underscore key to create a line. Also, certain screen readers will actually read this line as "underline" and its annoying. The form should be screen reader and web accessible.
I thought of creating a line class from the border attribute, but I can't get it to work in the middle of a sentence with the <span class="classname"> tag.
Any help or insight would be appreciated.
Thanks in advance,
Deborah
