Browse All TopicsI have an object of type XML that is being updated constantly throughout my application. This XML was originally loaded from an external xml file. I would like to overwrite the initial xml file with the updated information on maybe a button click ("save" button). How can I accomplish this? What would the code look like? Thanks

Flex can't write to a local file. You should send this xml string to a php application for example, and have it write the file for you. You could also retrieve the file name from php and show a download box so the user can save a copy of it.
Below is an example of sending the xmlstring to server side script. it could be php, coldfusion, jsp, asp or anything.
