Accessing data from an IFRAME in Flex

I have a page that has a Flex swf inside an iframe. In the main page I have hidden input fields that contain values. How can I retrieve the values inside the hidden input fields in Flex when Flex is inside an iframe?

if both were in same page you could have use external interface or flash vars to access the data, I am not sure if you can access the data from SWF with in a iframe,

First try doing this accessing the data from main page using javascript with in Iframe later we can try communicating with this javascript function from the flex.

I was able to get access to the parent frame by using the ExternalInterface and calling a function like:
