Thanks, that worked fine. I was originally trying to find out how to install Flex SDK to Eclipse... but that turned out to be a bunch of hacks.
Main Topics
Browse All TopicsI want to start writing Flex applications, but I have no idea where to begin with installing an editor/SDK...
I see Eclipse under the available applications, but I don't have any clue if this is where I need to start???? Do I need to install a particular version of Eclipse? Or do I just install that Eclipse and add a Flex SDK plugin?
What about Windows? I have Windows too, but it seems to be the same issue. I was looking at buying the Flex Builder application from Adobe, but now I'm not even sure if it's even a program or if it's really just a plugin for Eclipse... Can someone please set me straight and detail some installation instructions for Ubuntu or Windows... either one; it doesn't matter.

If you don't already have the Eclipse IDE installed, download the full Flex Builder.
m/wiki/dis play/Flex/ Getting+St arted cts/flex/f eatures/fl ex_builder / as well.
If you do have it installed, then choose the plugin (which is the contents of "features" and "plugins" directories).
Both installs provide the same, exact functionality.
You should try the IDE before you buy it, there's a trial period of 60 days. Flex 4 is coming soon...
