keeping info in the form when user press back....

hi all

i have form, with Many questions, and user press send, it go the confirmation page, if he want to make correction on the page it press back (or my javascript bouton history.back) but all the form is cleanned when it go back... does it have trick for keeping stuff the user already writen.... i know i can pass parameter again, and check if he come from the confirmation page... but i would like to do other stuff...(pain less)
