The Solution Rating System

With so many solutions, how can you tell which solutions are most likely to help you and which ones are not? To provide you with a tool to use, we rate our solutions based on various elements that most accurately determine if a solution is a quality solution. To explain what factors affect the solution rating, here are the elements we take into consideration when formulating our solution rating.

  • The Grade of the Solution
  • The Zone Rank of the Expert Providing the Solution
  • The Number of Author and Expert Comments
  • The Number of Experts Contributing
  • The Feedback of the Community

Your Input Matters
Because of the way the system is set up, the most important variable in this equation is you. As a member of Experts Exchange, you are able to cast your vote on the quality of the solutions in regard to how complete, accurate, helpful and easy to understand each solution is. Better CSS and general styling for website

Basically looking to improve the coding here. I know all the tags and CSS style attributes(so you don't need to use kid-gloves) but I've not practised any serious layout or page design for ages(years). I'm more of a javascripter/Java/JSP guy:
1) How to do away with the table but keep the basic design - dotted border must be 100% of whatever the content/window is.
2) Any tips on better font-sizing/family styles?
3) regarding support - Mozilla(Mac/Win) is a MUST, IE5+(Win/Mac), then Opera6+ and others - IE4/NS4.x irrelevant
Points to be given(splits and multiple handouts available) if you give me any tips or education generally regarding 'semantic coding' and the finer points of design(artistic flair/style/layout/etc is not my strong point.
