Ok here it is: Place lots and lots of Meta tags on your Home Page. To get the best out of these Meta Tags go to: http://www.anybrowser.com/MetaTagGenerator.html or just search fo similair sites on Google.
Its lease tags in your <HEAD> section tht Search Engines pick up so provide as much detail as possible.
You could also sign up to Search Engines to become top of their lists...

Enjoy

I have had a lot of success in getting high search engine rankings using the techniques described in the weekly "High Rankings" newsletter:

www.highrankings.com

A lot of search engines ignore meta tags these days since a lot of people abuse them.

Like philjones, I can't access your site, so I can't offer any specific advice.

Do you mean
http://www.myfreecounter.net/

My only criticism is that the green text blends with the dark blue background on the right hand side.  Apart from that it looks good to me.

You only have 5 keywords in your meta tags, use as many as you can *without repeating*, including common mis-spellings and it will help improve your chances of being found.

(If the website is wrong ignore all of the above!!)

hello mattjp88,

some of the website comments:
- the rounded border at the top is little heazy.
- u should make some contrast by using (eg yellow text on the left hand side)
- in support link the home link turns out to be "main home". it should be "home"
- allign the button of sign up
- try to make some consistency, sometimes the text is green, sometimes black
- lost password should be under the login form, not a separate link
- Faqs should be in the main menu not in support menu only.

concerning ur website fame :)
try submitting ur site to as many search engines as u can

here is some liknks for free submission:

http://www.addme.com/submission.htm
http://submitexpress.com/submit.html
http://www.addpro.com/submit30.htm

also try to put ur link in many other sites by some offers from u.(eg: ur special counters )

hope this helps,
Regards,
kanary

use the tchniques in kasandra's link

keep submitting your url

then go to yahoo and pay them 200 dollars and you will get a high ranking there :)

sorry, but the website is ugly,
the blue borders are way too big,
the text at the top is too big and badly done.
the background repeats and the text goes over into the repetition.
the font (unspecified) is ugly as it defaults to serif (i.e Times New).
the links are ugly, irritating animations - try and find alternatives
the actual counters are too big

i don't like being harsh, but it's need here.

well, i agree with you about the top image, the links, and the font; but you wouldnt really know if the counters are too big, because you didnt make an account.  there are many smaller ones and some bigger ones.

when does the background repeat?

how would you recomend I make the header image?  i dont have paintshop.

thank you,
Matt

by: JazzlePosted on 2003-07-16 at 17:08:13ID: 8938903

you could make the header (and side bar) with tables, you can split the pictures up and set them as the cell backgrounds.
the text for the header could be real text, not a picture. in fact you wouldn't need pictures for all the header either, only the ends.
the background (bg) will repeat when the browser window is larger than the bg picture. at high resolutions this is quite common.
(i suggest you give a range of counter examples on the main page)

if you need a graphics editor i'd recommend PaintShop Pro (PSP), a free trial will be available at www.jasc.com

just keep trying different versions and you'll find out what you like.

good luck

hrmm...the pics are too big, the flashing animated gif buttons are aggrivating my epilepsy, and there isnt much content....
my suggestions:
i would pick a different color pallete entirely.  something a bit more subtle tends to keep people from getting annoyed and surfing away immediately.  maybe a white background?  next, the pics and font are way too big.  it causes the whole site to have a bit of a gawdy, unprofessional look.   the animated links, if you are going to keep them, move them down a bit so they do not show up when people are trying to read the rest of your site.  it draws attention away from what you want people to really see:  YOUR content, not links to other peoples content.  next, add more content.  even if you have already said all you wanted to, say more.  and last... i know there is something to be said for honesty, but maybe you should bump up your number of counters made to make it seem more desirable.  you dont even have to lie on this one.  you can set up counters for sites you made yourself that dont even have to be anywhere on the web.  as long as the counters have been created, you are telling the truth.

thank you forrest321.  i have been thingks about changing the color scheme.  i made the background late at night when i was wayy to tired to make any important deciosions and the same night i made the style sheet.  does anyone have ideas of a new color scheme?  i was thinking blue, but what do i know.
