nothing to say

Are you using < a href="abc.html" target="_blank"> ?  If so - don't - when you tell the target _blank, you are telling it to open in a new window.  Tell the target mainFrame or whatever frame you want it to open in.

Your link needs to look like this:
<a href="abc.html" target="_self">

no he;s not using that, yahoo is using that.

I don't know of a way to do what you are trying without using vbscript to go fetch the page source before actually showing it, although this would be extremely difficult to write such a dynamic script.  You won't be able to access the source or elements of the page because it is located on a different domain.

You can write some little perl/PHP proxy that fetches pages and removes target="_blank" throughout the source before forwarding it to you.  This will mess up individual's logging in and such though.

If you want to do this say something so I can give you some links to examples of this type of thing.

So you're using frames, linking to other sites, and they're busting your frames?

Nothing you can do. It's THEIR site, you can't change it, and you can't override their scripting.

try putting

<base target="dynamicframe">

in the <head></head> section of your document. This way it will load all other pages in the place of a frame that has a name="dynamicframe" but it might not work with some web sites

I'm with webwoman.

mjaweedkhan, other sites have every right to want to break out of a frameset that is not part of their site. If you really must use frames, it is not good etiquette to use try to place else's site within your framset - it should only be for pages that belong to your site. Other people's or organisation's sites do NOT constitute part of your site.

Also, they aren't using "target=_blank" at all.  They are either using javascript to check if the page has been placed in a frameset, or else they are using the meta tag: <meta http-equiv="Window-target" content="_top" /> . I use the latter on all of my pages to stop people like you doing exactly what you are complaining that you can't do.

As webwoman said, there is absolutely nothing you can do about it.

mjaweedkhan, you can, however (and i think this is the best solution) ask the site to accept you as a partner and share that page with you as long as you provide them with a link to their site at the end of the page itself. :) fair is fair :) you get queality content, they gate free promotion :)

I would suggest accepting webwoman's comment instead of stucco because they aren't  using "target=_blank" as stucco said (and as I tried to explain to support webwoman).

change
 target="_blank"
to
 target="_blank" or other target

and then it is correct.

Perhaps a split
