Browse All TopicsHi,
here is the VERY simplified code :
<TABLE cellSpacing=0 cellPadding=0 width="100%" border=0>
<TR>
<TD>
aaa
</TD>
</TR>
<TR>
<TD style="border:1px solid black" height="2">
<IMG src="spacer.gif" width="1" height="2" alt="" border="1">
</TD>
</TR>
<TR>
<TD vAlign="top">
aaa
</TD>
</tr>
</table>
When previewing this in IE, the TD remains with a height higher than what the spacer height is. Even if I set the TD height to 2, it still does not adjust.
This works fine in Firefox, but not in IE.
any ideas?
thanks

It might have to do with the oldfashioned html you are using..
/>
Try:
<table cellspacing="2" cellpadding="0" border="0" style="width:100%;">
<tr>
<td> aaa</td>
</tr>
<tr>
<tr style="border:1px solid black;height:2px;">
<img src="spacer.gif" alt="" style="border:solid 1px;width:1px;height:2px;"
</td>
</tr>
<tr>
<td valign="top">aaa</td>
</tr>
</table>
I wonder why you use a border="1" + height="2" (totals height of 4) inside a 2px high td..
