Setting fields in html

Hi

I want to automatically fill in the path to a file in a html-form used to upload files.

In the following simple example the "general textfield" has some pre-filled text,
unlike the "file-upload field" even though both has the value-attribute set:

<body>
<form enctype="multipart/form-data" action="uploader.php" method="POST">
A general textfield: <input name="generaltextfield" type="text" value="pre-filled text"><br>
A file-upload field: <input name="fileuploadfield" type="file" value="pre-filled text"><br>
<input type="submit" value="Upload File">
</form>
</body>
</html>

How do you pre-fill the "file-upload field"? Feel free to use JavaScript or any other
means that are part of an ordinary Internet Explorer-browser.
