create a web site from which my program can be downloaded

Okay, I used to have front page, even used it to create sites for friends. But now that I need it, I don't seem to have it anymore. I need to publish a page (as the title suggests) but I don't have a lot of money (Just Soc Sec)
Any suggestions?

if you have FTP access to the server, you could just simply use notepad, then save the file as an html file (or htm), and then upload it...

if you want to give someone the option to download a file from you it's just a matter of having said file in the websites root, and then linking to it....

another idea for you..

1)
 great a free blogger account (http://www.blogger.com)
From here do what kevp75 suggested, and provide a link to the root, and give them permissions to read/write.

2)
 if you can afford like 8 to 10 dollars a month, then you can get joomla hosting, with joomla installed. Joomla is an open source content managent system, that will allow you to do what you suggested pretty easily.
