The Solution Rating System

  • The Number of Experts Contributing
  • The Feedback of the Community

Your Input Matters
Because of the way the system is set up, the most important variable in this equation is you. Download File from Server (IIS) getting Error Message

I am trying to download file from IIS server folder.The file is dynamic selected on the fly dynamically.The flow of the application goes like this I have one repeater control on which having column with file names there on server.User click on file links on the repeater control and downloads the files.I am using onclick event of anchor tag of repeater to call javascript function which redirects on the other page with file name to be downloaded.On the directed page I have written code to download the file but I am getting error.
"Server cannot set content type after HTTP headers have been sent. "

Thanks in advance for any help. It's throwing error  at   Response.ContentType = "application/octlet-stream"
