The Solution Rating System

With so many solutions, how can you tell which solutions are most likely to help you and which ones are not? To provide you with a tool to use, we rate our solutions based on various elements that most accurately determine if a solution is a quality solution. To explain what factors affect the solution rating, here are the elements we take into consideration when formulating our solution rating.

  • The Grade of the Solution
  • The Zone Rank of the Expert Providing the Solution
  • The Number of Author and Expert Comments
  • The Number of Experts Contributing
  • The Feedback of the Community

Your Input Matters
Because of the way the system is set up, the most important variable in this equation is you. Refresh a webpage just once when the user clicks the browser Back button or presses Backspace

I want to refresh a webpage when a user clicks the browser Back button or presses Backspace on the keyboard. This is my scenario:

1. From page 1, I click on my header image map that takes me from the page 1 to page 2
2. From page 2, I click the browser's Back button to go back to page 1
3. On page 1, there now seems to now be a dotted outline of the header (shifted to the right) present on top of the actual header

If I click anywhere on the page (or refresh), the dotted rectangle disappears

My Question

Is there a way to refresh a page using html (I tried the meta refresh but it continues to refresh after a certain amount of time...I have also tried opener.location.reload() but it did not work), or simulate a click on a certain part of the page? Any ideas of where this page dotted rectangle is coming from?Start Free Trial
