Returning values from a Javascript Function for use on a ASP page

I'm somewhat a newbie to Javascript. I want to use the function below to get a value that I can store in a database in an ASP page. I'm wondering how I can one, return the value and two, how would I get it in a SQL database. Any help would be appreciated. Here's the java code snipet:
