internal anchor link with base href problem

See example code attached.

When I use base href the internal anchor link does not work properly, I dont want it to leave the page I want it to jump to the anchor location.

How do I use base href code and an internal anchor link without the anchor link going to the base href site?

I cant get into why I have to use base href, just know that its required.

code looks and works ok for me.  Page scrolls to bookmark correctly.

The code works for you, what browser you using?

It goes to google.com for me when i click the link, this is not what i want. I want it to work as an anchor link. Please read original message.

Sorry I have missed original BASE href. I've tried (FF and IE) A hrefs.

BASE tag "adds" its href to every link in document, so if you don't want to remove it use absolute path in your anchors. Its not ideal but it works
