How to detect and highlight currently selected link in separate iframe

Hiya, I'm researching something similar and would like to know how I can tweak this solution to fit my needs.
Basically I have two iframes and when content is loaded in the left frame I would like the related hyperlink in the right frame to be highlighted, that is, I would like the code to automatically detect the page loaded and highlight the link.

Hope this is clear.

Any suggestions much appreciated.

have a group of five hyperlinks in the LEFT frame:

<A HREF="http://www.test.com/test2.php"> <IMG SRC="test2.jpg" border="0"> </A>
<A HREF="http://www.test.com/test3.php"> <IMG SRC="test3.jpg" border="0"> </A>
<A HREF="http://www.test.com/test4.php"> <IMG SRC="test4.jpg" border="0"> </A>
<A HREF="http://www.test.com/test5.php"> <IMG SRC="test5.jpg" border="0"> </A>
On clicking any of these link, related page is getting loaded in the RIGHT frame.
These 5 images are placed vertically.
I want currently selected link in sligltly different color, so that one can easily understand information in the right frame is about selected frame.
We can have two set of images, one with light background and other with dark back.
What is the easyest way of doing that? I want current selected link persistent even on page reload.
