Background color not showing in Yahoo Mail

Hi there. Recently i've been trying to make a message in Outlook, and i used yellow as my background color. When i checked my Hotmail for a test, it showed my colored background. Now when i sent a test to Yahoo, i showed just a plain white background. So, i don't know if its something i'm doing wrong here, because i even sent it to a IPhone, and it worked on there too. Thanks guys.
