Changing code in HTML

Hi,

I have multiple hmtls, and in the code its pointing back to an "index.html" is there a way of changing it in batch that they point to a different file.

a unix/linux solution would be the sed command in an tcsh foreach loop:

or if index.html is not used anymore, create a symbolic or hard link to your new file,

or if index.html is not used anymore edit a refesh meta tag into your index.html which refreshes to your new html file.

PSPad allows for "search and replace" in files and it is free:

if you use Dreamweaver, you can open all the documents in DW by selecting them all and then dragging them over on DW
then use the Find and Replace tool to replace index.html file with the required file by choosing the option Find In: Open Documents
