I have multiple hmtls, and in the code its pointing back to an "index.html" is there a way of changing it in batch that they point to a different file.

a unix/linux solution would be the sed command in an tcsh foreach loop:

or if index.html is not used anymore, create a symbolic or hard link to your new file,
or if index.html is not used anymore edit a refesh meta tag into your index.html which refreshes to your new html file.
