onChange on form with checkboxes

Hi,

I've got a form with a few checkboxes. When I add onChange="this.submit()" is doesn't work in IE. When I try onClick it does work... Why is onChange not working?

or:

document.forms[0].submit()

instead.

Onchange needs a blur
Do not use onChange on checkboxes. Only onClick

If you want, do

<input type="checkbox" onClick="if (this.checked) this.form.submit()">

HOWEVER make sure NOTHING has name="submit" in the form and that the boxes are actually wrapped in a form tag

If you want to fire a javascript event when a checkbox is checked in an HTML form, you may be tempted to use the onChange event for the checkbox form element. Don't! While this will work just fine for Firefox and Safari, it will not work consistently for Internet Explorer. If you want to make sure that the event is fired consistently, use the onClick event instead. This works fine across all browsers.
