Why am I not able to make changes on my local machine to a website?

I built this site years ago. My client had another company work on their site and now I am not able to make changes when I download all the files from FileZilla. When I open the index page the url reads...

file:///C:/Users/Tina%20Barnard/Desktop/JP_622014%20-%20Copy/index.html

But when I go to any other pages it reads...

http://www.jerrysplumbing.com/service_and_repair.html

Please Help,

Tina

It is a malformed URL - You need to update the links to be something like - /service_and_repair.html and the important part is the first "/" as it is defined as the root whether it is local or on your web server.

Also, I see that your tags for this post are  for DreamWeaver - you can update these using site manager - that your local links to be updated like above:  /service_and_repair.html ..  The file:/// link is what is tripping you up now.

Kent Dyer~How do I update using the site manger in Dreamweaver?

Tina
Kent's post is not the correct solution, Benji's is.

There is nothing malformed about the links, but the base href tag will throw you back to the server.
Jason~I know...

Thank you
