on my site a user selets a picture to upload and a thumbnail is created from that picture. I am using the following functions:
$image_p = imagecreatetruecolor($widt
$image = imagecreatefromjpeg($image
imagecopyresampled($image_
this works perfectly when the uploaded file is a jpg, but when the file is a bmp it fails.
I've tried using the "imageCreateFromWBMP" function but that doesn't seem to work either.
Is there a built in function that I can use to resize bmp files? I'm sure the solution for this problem isn't too tough but I can't find it anywhere.

Have you tried imagecreatefromgif and imagecopyresized functions instead of imagecopyresampled?

It's just another create function for bitmaps. That's the only thing that would change. You might want to try converting the bmps into jpegs since bmps are not web supported, but I don't know what your goal is.
