The Solution Rating System

With so many solutions, how can you tell which solutions are most likely to help you and which ones are not? To provide you with a tool to use, we rate our solutions based on various elements that most accurately determine if a solution is a quality solution. To explain what factors affect the solution rating, here are the elements we take into consideration when formulating our solution rating.

  • The Grade of the Solution
  • The Zone Rank of the Expert Providing the Solution
  • The Number of Author and Expert Comments
  • The Number of Experts Contributing
  • The Feedback of the Community

Your Input Matters
Because of the way the system is set up, the most important variable in this equation is you. As a member of Experts Exchange, you are able to cast your vote on the quality of the solutions in regard to how complete, accurate, helpful and easy to understand each solution is. When you provide your feedback, each rating is adjusted accordingly. So, if you see a solution that has a poor rating that you think is a good solution, let us know by rating it. As you do, the rating will be adjusted and will become more accurate for other members of our site.

If you have any suggestions that you would like to make for our rating system, please ask a question in the Suggestions Zone of Community Support.

Thank you!

mysql database design problems

I'm designing a flooring website for a local company and I have an idea of how to manage the data for:
Hardwood
Laminate
Carpet and
Vinyl

It is laid out in this order

Product Floortype(hardwood, laminate, vinyl, etc)
----Brand of Product (Shaw, Zickgraf, wahtever)
-------Style of Product (Longly, Leafy, Style Number2, etc)
-----------Color of Product(Green, Blue, Red, wahtever)
----------Then the product is displayed with whatever attributes it may have.......as well as the price of that ONE product...

This isn't a problem for me to create

My problem is the rugs floortype.....it is laid out like this
CODE

Product Floortype(rug)
----Brand of Product (Shaw, Zickgraf, wahtever)
-------Style of Product (Longly, Leafy, Style Number2, etc)
-----------Color of Product(Green, Blue, Red, wahtever)
----------Then here it will show all the attributes of that type of rugs as well as all the different types of sizes with a price for each size.

I want to be able to hold all the products in one mysql table.......including the rugs....
I would be including all the attributes of every product in a row of it's own......how would you recommend I lay out the various rugs sizes and prices in one row as well.

If you need a more in depth look......
check out http://www.ifloor.com and go through the process of selecting a hardwood product...then go back and select a rug.... As you do both think about how you would lay out such data....and how you would make it easy for someone to update it in a control panel

Thanks in advance
