The Solution Rating System

With so many solutions, how can you tell which solutions are most likely to help you and which ones are not? To provide you with a tool to use, we rate our solutions based on various elements that most accurately determine if a solution is a quality solution. To explain what factors affect the solution rating, here are the elements we take into consideration when formulating our solution rating.

  • The Grade of the Solution
  • The Zone Rank of the Expert Providing the Solution
  • The Number of Author and Expert Comments
  • The Number of Experts Contributing
  • The Feedback of the Community

Your Input Matters
Because of the way the system is set up, the most important variable in this equation is you. As a member of Experts Exchange, you are able to cast your vote on the quality of the solutions in regard to how complete, accurate, helpful and easy to understand each solution is. When you provide your feedback, each rating is adjusted accordingly. So, if you see a solution that has a poor rating that you think is a good solution, let us know by rating it. php query vs. full links

I had a series of links, like -- subjects/topic12.php  ---which resolved to a "clean link", that SEs could find,
and links which the browser reported in the location bar (also SEs) as www.site.com/subjects/topic12.php

In the desire to condense 75+ pages into a single routine, I ended up with --
subject.php?sub=topic12  -- so all queries are handled by a single routine.

Now, the search engines don't like these query links (won't index them as separate pages) --
and equally as bad, browsesr never change from www.site.com -- nothing else shows up in the URL.

I've seen how to use htaccess to "spoof" the php links or pages to appear like some other file type, but that is not the topic of this question, so please, let's not go over that here again.

What I want to know is --  can I condense all database queries into a single php "routine" that will process the almost identical code (topics 1-75+)  -- yet still return a CLEAN, SE friendly link to the search engines -- and actually show up in the browser as www.site.com/subjects/topic12.php -- and like pages?

I need the browser to show the actual page ....topic12.php, and I also need search engines to find that page and index it as www.site.com/subjects/topic12.php -- NOT queries, or nothing in browsers, as happens now...

Detailed explanations of what to do to get these URLs to resolve to real pages is what I need.  Thanks....
